Air Force Laison Cell (EAC)

Date Raised : 1963-06-01 Disbanded : 1971-07-07 Location : Calcutta
Air Force Liaison Cell at Fort William Calcutta existed in June 1963. However, its exact date of formation remains unclear as it seems a setup of the same nature existed in Shillong prior to June 1963 and may have moved to Calcutta when HQ EAC moved to Shillong. In July 1971, this cell was redesignated as Advance HQ, Eastern Air Command. Till 1986 it had 2 TAC's under its command. On raising of 3 Corps in 1986, another TAC at Dimapur was setup.
